What if choosing dinner felt less like a chore… and more like game night?

Dinner Deck isn’t just a meal planning tool — it can double as a fast, family-friendly card game that ends with one big prize: the winner chooses dinner.

Here’s how to play.

The Setup

Dinner Deck includes 8 colors, with 7 cards in each color, plus 4 Wild Cards. Shuffle all cards together. Deal each player 7 cards. Place the remaining cards face down as the draw pile, and flip one card face up to start the discard pile.

The Goal

The objective is simple: collect all 7 cards of one color. Wild Cards can substitute for any color, making them powerful tools for completing a set.

The first player to amass a complete color set wins — and earns the right to choose dinner from that winning color category.

How to Play

On your turn:

  1. Draw one card (from the draw pile or the discard pile).
  2. Discard one card.

Play continues clockwise. Strategy comes into play quickly — do you grab that Wild Card now, or wait? Do you hold onto multiple colors or commit early?

Players must keep their color choice hidden until they can reveal all 7 cards at once. When someone lays down a full color set (with or without Wilds), the round ends.

Why It Works

This simple structure turns meal planning into anticipation. Instead of debating dinner, you’re competing for it. It reduces friction, adds laughter, and gives everyone a fair shot at choosing the meal.

Dinner decisions don’t have to drain you.

Shuffle. Draw. Discard. Win dinner.  Game on.
